Congratulations to BCMB Graduate Student Hiwot Anteneh, from the Jikui Song lab for receiving this years Mary K. and Randolph T. Wedding Award!
The Mary and Randolph T. Wedding prize is presented annually to one or two meritorious graduate students in the Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Graduate Program at the University of California, Riverside. The award is determined by a faculty committee which identifies the student who has made the most significant contribution to peer-reviewed scientific literature in biochemistry and molecular biology. The prize consists of a cash award of at least $2000, inscription of the recipient’s name on a plaque on permanent display in the Biochemistry Department, as well a certificate signed by the Biochemistry Department Chair.
We thank Sheila O'Brien and Randy Wedding for establishing this award on behalf of their father and for taking their time to attend the annual event and award presentation.
